Growing plants in the Rockies Greenhouse gardening at 8500ft

Hi, and welcome to out little part of the world.

We are Cindy and Chris together with out animal children , Pumpkin, Moe, and George. We live in Evergreen Colorado, at an elevation of 8500ft above sea level.

The property we live on is on the side of a mountain, with open space behind us and 5 acres of open land around the house, most of it of course on a nice steep angle,

Our origins are that we are Australian, moved through a couple of countries since leaving Oz in the 1990′s and now have settled in the USA, being newbies to the mountains ( moved here Jan 2008) , we are riding the learning curve of living in the mountains and loving it! Where else can you be sitting here on my computer writing this whilst looking out the window at the mountains for miles, and seeing at leat 30 elk grazing on grass on a sunny sunday morning.

Chris is a Pilot flying business jets for Flexjet, and Cindy works from home running our ebay business ( http://stores.ebay.com/EvergreenTradingCo ) . Pumpkin, Moe and George well they look after the house, making sure all areas are secure and well slept in.
